elcome to Southeastern Gynecologic Oncology (SEGO). The specialty of Gynecologic Oncology is a sub-specialty with only 600 practicing physicians in the country. They are dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of pre-cancerous conditions and carcinoma of the uterus, ovaries, cervix, vagina and vulva. A Gynecologic Oncologist is fully trained as an OB/Gyn and continues their education with additional pelvic surgery training, plus they are fully trained as an Oncologist. Our physicians continue their education every year and routinely are updating their skills with new specialty procedures. The Board Certified Gynecologic Oncologist is the expert in diagnosing and treating gynecologic diseases.

SEGO is one of the largest and most complete treatment facilities in the nation with six Board Certified Gynecologic Oncologists.

SEGO strives to bring you comprehensive care within our practice.
To that end we offer:
8 Metro Atlanta locations
5 Chemotherapy Infusion centers with 9 Oncology/Infusion Nurses.
SEGO conducts clinical research and has one physician, one nurse and a data manager.
A full-time pharmacist mixes all of our infusions.
Ultrasound tests are key in treating Gynecologic Oncology diseases and we have built a program with the best in class equipment and processes. In addition, the results are read by one of the country’s leading experts.
Should TPN or liquid food need to be administered, we have a program which incorporates the country’s leading experts in TPN formulation for cancer patients, Dr. Harrison Willcutts.
Our staff psychologist is available to you and your caregivers to help you through the treatment of your disease.
Bone density screening tests are performed at our Northside office.
We participate in training 2 Pelvic Surgeon or Gyn/Oncology Fellows.

When you’re treated by SEGO, you have the strength of ALL of our surgeons working for you.
All of our surgical cases are reviewed by our physician team prior to surgery.
Post-operatively, the results of the pathology (tissue diagnosis) are reviewed by all physicians to give you a thorough and accurate assessment.
Chemotherapy regimes are reviewed and established.
Alternative treatments such as research protocols can be reviewed with you for incorporation into your care.
Each physician has a clinical team to serve you which includes a Nurse, Medical Assistants, and an Administrative Assistant.
