SEGO Returns to Washington!

On September 17, 2003, 14 SEGO cancer survivors and staff members joined other patients and practices on Capitol Hill for a follow up rally to Save Cancer Care.  Our delegation visited members of Congress to remind them about the cancer cuts contained in the Medicare Reform and Prescription Drug Act and the effects these cuts would have on cancer care in America.  Several small rallies were held—one on the Senate side, one on the House side and one on the lawn in front of the Capitol!

The news from the Community Oncology Alliance is encouraging.  Congress is hearing our voice!  But our work is not finished.  We must continue to let our government know what effect these cuts will have.  Please visit the Contact Government Officials page for contact information.  Also, please visit the COA website to learn how to respond to the CMS proposed rules.
